The United States has begun delivering portions of arms and ammunition to Ukraine as part of a new aid package, according to the Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder.

The spokesman emphasized to journalists that he cannot disclose details regarding the timing of military aid shipments to Ukraine. However, according to him, the deliveries have already commenced.

"We've already started the process to move some of the weapons, ammunition and equipment which will be, you know, as I mentioned earlier there within days, if not sooner," Ryder said.

At the same time, the Pentagon spokesman added that the delivery of some equipment will take more time. However, concerning artillery ammunition, the US is "already moving out to make those deliveries."

New aid from the US

After months of aid blockage, the US Congress supported a law providing over $60 billion in aid to Ukraine. President Joe Biden signed the corresponding document.

Biden also announced the allocation of a new $1 billion aid package to Ukraine. According to Western media reports, Ukraine may receive a new batch of long-range ATACMS missiles.
