In an interview with CNN, Argentine President Javier Milei said he was ready to visit Ukraine as a gesture of support for President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"I would love to, as a sign of support for President Zelenskyy," Javier Milei says.

Milei also stresses that he and the Ukrainian President have a warm personal relationship.

"I have a great relationship with Zelensky. I admire him, and I have a particular affection for him," he says.

The Argentine President's statement came amid growing international support for Ukraine in its war against Russian aggression.

Javier Milei took office at the end of 2023 and has taken a pro-Ukrainian stance in international politics since the beginning of his presidency. He has repeatedly expressed his support for Ukraine's territorial integrity and criticized Russia's actions.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy invited him to visit Kyiv in a telephone conversation.

Milei took office at a time when Argentina's economic situation was extremely difficult, with inflation reaching 211% and about 40% of citizens living below the poverty line.

In less than 2 years of his rule, the country managed to achieve a budget surplus, and the inflation rate fell to about 36%.

Milei's key priority was large-scale economic and political reforms aimed at financial stabilization and creating favorable conditions for investment.

During his presidency, steps were taken to reduce the budget deficit and simplify tax rules.

The Argentine leader pays particular attention to upgrading infrastructure and revitalizing the country's foreign policy.

At the same time, Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously emphasized that Ukraine is interested in studying Argentina's experience in deregulating the economy and combating inflation.
