Apple prepares to produce robots - Famous analyst reveals company's plans

Apple is considering developing both humanoid and non-humanoid robots for its future smart home, reports MacRumors.
What is known about the development
Ming-Chi Kuo said that Apple's robot projects are at the proof-of-concept stage within the company. If Apple decides to continue developing robots, Kuo believes that mass production is likely to begin no earlier than 2028.
The analyst's prediction comes after a team of robotics researchers at Apple designed and built a prototype robot in the form of a lamp with realistic movements.
Last year, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reported that Apple was developing a desktop robot with an "iPad-like screen" attached to a "robotic arm."
Barring unforeseen delays, he said the company plans to announce the device in 2026 or 2027. However, as mentioned, Kuo's current forecast for robots is 2028 or later.
According to Gurman, the desktop robot will be controlled mainly through Siri and Apple Intelligence. He noted that the device could respond to commands such as "look at me," which would allow the screen to be positioned on the user's face during a FaceTime video call.
