Apple prepares AI breakthrough device: Find out why it’s unique

A new report from Smart Analytics Global (SAG) forecasts rapid growth in the AI-powered smart glasses market in the coming years. Analysts say much of this growth will be driven by the launch of Apple Glasses, which could offer three key advantages, according to 9to5Mac.
AI glasses market expected to surge
The SAG report states that 2026 could be a turning point for AI-based smart glasses. Sales are projected to rise from 6 million devices in 2025 to 20 million in 2026.
However, the main acceleration is expected after Apple Glasses are released.
“Apple’s expected entry around 2027 could mark a major inflection point, combining strong industrial design, fashion appeal, and ecosystem integration to accelerate mainstream adoption.,” SAG analysts noted.
Three key advantages of Apple Glasses
According to SAG, Apple Glasses are likely to have:

Premium design;

Attractive appearance;

Integration into the Apple ecosystem.
These three factors previously contributed to the success of another Apple wearable – the Apple Watch.
Since the release of the smartwatch, Apple’s design team has undergone significant changes: after the departure of Jony Ive and some long-time colleagues, the team was substantially renewed. Nevertheless, Apple’s reputation in hardware design remains strong.
Smartphones will remain essential
Another SAG finding: even in the long term, smart glasses will not replace smartphones and will coexist with them.
By 2030, sales of smart glasses are expected to reach 75 million units per year, with HUD-equipped models becoming market leaders starting in 2028.
