American forces destroyed over 25 missile launchers belonging to Houthi rebels
U.S. military forces, in collaboration with allies, have successfully destroyed over 25 missile launchers belonging to Houthi rebels in Yemen as a result of airstrikes, starting from January 11, states Pentagon spokesperson Patrick Ryder.
"I can tell you that since January 11, we’ve assessed, we assessed that we've destroyed or degraded over 25 missile launch and deployment facilities, more than 20 missiles," reported Pentagon representative Patrick Ryder.
According to Ryder, the airstrikes conducted by U.S. and allied aircraft on Houthi group targets in Yemen have proven to be effective.
Ryder also noted that the U.S. targeted drone bases, radars, air surveillance equipment, and weapon depots during the strikes.
Strikes by the United States and its allies on Houthi bases
On the night of January 12, the United States and the United Kingdom launched joint strikes on Houthi targets in Yemen. The operation involved both aircraft and ships, targeting weapons storage facilities and training bases of the Houthi rebels.
It was later revealed that Germany would deploy the frigate Hessen to the Red Sea as part of the EU mission against the Houthis. Additionally, Belgium announced the contribution of the frigate Louise-Marie to participate in the European defense operation in the Red Sea.
