Algerian military transport aircraft regularly fly to Russia, routing through the airspace of NATO countries, including Poland. Such aircraft are carrying military equipment, Defence24 reports.

According to media reports, another such flight took place on Tuesday, October 6. An Algerian military transport aircraft, a Lockheed C-130H-30 Hercules, entered Polish airspace. These data are also confirmed by the Polish Military Radar service.

Journalists noted that the aircraft took off from Boufarik Air Base in Algeria and flew over Italy, Croatia, Hungary and Slovakia. It then entered Polish airspace from the south and headed east.

After flying near Hajnówka, the aircraft crossed the border into Belarus and later arrived in Moscow. The plane landed at Vnukovo Airport, which is a typical route for such aircraft.

Importantly, this flight is part of regular military logistics between Algeria and Russia. In recent weeks, flights by Russian Il-76MD, C-130H/H-30 Hercules, and LM-100J Super Hercules aircraft have also been recorded over Europe.

In this case, military transport aviation is used not only to transport cargo. It is also involved in ensuring military-technical cooperation between Algeria and Russia, including the transportation of weapons and personnel who maintain Russian systems in service with Algeria.

Similar routes are also used for transportation from Africa to Belarus, which Russia also uses.

As journalists explained, the problem for Warsaw is not simply another flight by a military aircraft from North Africa. The issue is that an air corridor used to facilitate military cooperation with Russia runs through the territory of a NATO member state.

All of this is happening against the backdrop of the expansion of Russia's military infrastructure in Africa and the use of Algerian and Libyan routes.

Poland's Foreign Minister recently explained when NATO could actually invoke Article 5 against Russia.

It also became known that the European Union is proposing the creation of a defense alliance involving Ukraine but without the US.
