American actress Anne Schedeen, best known for her role as Kate Tanner in the cult TV series ALF, has died at the age of 77. During her life, she was a bright and talented personality who brought much kindness to the world, according to a statement from the star’s family on Facebook.

In their message, her loved ones noted that the actress passed away peacefully, leaving behind a vibrant creative legacy, a sense of humor, and many warm memories for family and friends.
The family described her as a person of extraordinary energy who loved art, made jewelry by hand, painted, worked with sculpture, and deeply loved animals.
She was a force. And it is unimaginable to think about life without her in it. But as she said, “I’m always with you.” And she’s right. The memories, artwork, belly laughter, handmade jewelry, oil paintings, sculptures, costumes, and all-around joie de vivre live on,” the family wrote.
Anne is survived by her husband Christopher Barrett, with whom she was married for 55 years, her daughter Taylor Barrett, daughter-in-law Hilary Flynn, sister Sarahbeth Schedeen, brother Roland “Tony” Schedeen, and other family members.
At the same time, the family did not disclose the cause of death.
Biography of Anne Schedeen
She was born on January 8, 1949, under the name Luanne Ruth Schedeen in the state of Oregon. She grew up on a farm near Portland and showed an interest in theatre from an early age.
She staged her first performances at the age of six and later studied acting at the Portland Civic Theater. Schedeen also performed in local theatre productions in Hawaii, studied at Portland State University and Fort Wright College, and then moved to New York to begin her professional acting career.
The actress appeared in TV series such as “Paper Dolls,” “Emergency!” and “Simon & Simon,” but she gained the greatest popularity for her role as Kate Tanner in the sitcom “ALF.”

The series, which aired on NBC from 1986 to 1990, told the story of a funny alien who accidentally ended up in the garage of an ordinary American family and became part of their lives.
In an interview with People, Schedeen once admitted that working on the show was not easy due to a complex technical process. Filming a single 30-minute episode could take up to 25 hours.
