Aircraft repair plant attacked in Russian Smolensk region: Source
In the Smolensk region of Russia, an aircraft repair plant was attacked. The facility is involved in the production and repair of weaponry, aviation, and military equipment - sources in the security services inform RBC-Ukraine.
According to sources, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is behind the attack. The Smolensk region hosts an aviation plant that was attacked by drones in October 2023, which was also an operation conducted by the Ukrainian Military Intelligence Directorate.
From open sources, it is known that the Smolensk Aviation Plant produces various modifications of the "air-to-surface" class X-59 missiles. These missiles are frequently used by Russians to shell Ukraine.
