Ukrainian intelligence strikes Pantsir factory in Tula: Sources
The Russian plant Shcheglovsky Val in Tula was attacked tonight, January 21. They manufacture the Pantsir anti-aircraft missile systems - sources in the special services inform RBC-Ukraine.
In Tula, there were impacts on the military plant Shcheglovsky Val, where they assemble the Pantsir-S and Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile systems. Other consequences are being clarified.
Explosions were also reported in the Oryol and Smolensk regions.
According to sources, this was a planned operation by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
About the plant
From open sources, it is known that Shcheglovsky Val is one of Russia's largest defense industry enterprises. The plant is involved in developing guided weapons for ground forces, air defense systems, rapid-fire guns, and infantry weapons. The facility also undertakes the modernization of existing weaponry.
It is known that they assemble the Pantsir-S and Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile systems, used for the close protection of civilian and military objects.
Night explosions in Russia
