Explosions in Belgorod on December 30

The Belgorod region of Russia is located near the border with Ukraine, adjacent to the Kharkiv, Sumy, and Luhansk regions. Russians often complain about attacks in their border regions.

Around 14:10 on December 30, the governor of the Belgorod region announced shelling in the city center. Initially, he claimed strikes on the civilian sector; however, local media reported strikes in other parts of Belgorod.

Security and Defense Forces, as claimed by a source to RBC-Ukraine in intelligence services, targeted military facilities in Belgorod with a missile strike, and the ineffective operation of Russian air defense caused damage to the civilian infrastructure of the city.

As of 6 a.m. on December 31, according to Gladkov, as a result of yesterday's "flights," 22 Russians have died, with 109 people injured.
