Air Force strikes Russian military warehouses in the Kursk region

Ukrainian forces struck enemy military depots located in Russia's Kursk region. They destroyed equipment and killed several dozen soldiers of the occupying army, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"On April 7, 2025, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a complex of hangars actively used by russian armed forces in Ozerki, Kursk region," according to a statement from the General Staff.
As a result of the strike, hangars, several military buildings, and technical equipment were destroyed. The Ukrainian forces eliminated over 30 soldiers, including drone crews and repair personnel.
"The destruction of this site significantly reduces the ability of the Russian Federation to conduct operations against Ukraine's Defense Forces in the Sumy region and Kursk area," the military noted.
The General Staff emphasized that Ukrainian defenders target only legitimate military objectives and take all measures to protect civilians as much as possible.
The Armed Forces will continue to destroy elements of Russian military infrastructure until Russia halts its armed aggression against the Ukrainian people, the General Staff added.
Situation in the Kursk region
The operation in the Kursk region has been ongoing for nearly 8 months. During this time, Ukrainian forces have gained control of around 100 settlements in the region. The goal of the operation was to draw Russian forces away from other fronts and to prevent a renewed Russian offensive on Ukraine's eastern and northern regions.
Currently, active combat continues in the Kursk region. According to the latest reports from the General Staff, on April 8, Ukrainian defenders repelled two Russian attacks, and eight other skirmishes are still ongoing.
Since the beginning of the day, the enemy has launched four airstrikes, dropping five guided bombs on the positions of Ukrainian forces and civilian settlements. Additionally, there have been 126 artillery shelling incidents, including three from multiple rocket launch systems.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that thanks to the courage and resilience of Ukrainian soldiers in the Kursk region, the operation has alleviated pressure on other fronts, particularly in the Donetsk region.
