Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of April 8

Since the beginning of the day, 94 combat clashes have occurred along the entire front line. Ukrainian forces are repelling enemy assaults, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, border settlements have suffered from cynical shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation, including:
Bratenytsia, Prokhody, Velykyi Prykil in Sumy region; Ughroidy, Turya, Pokrovka, Myropilske, Dmytrivka, Mala Rybytsia in Sumy region were hit by guided aerial bombs.
Situation on the fronts

Kupiansk direction: The enemy launched two assault attempts near Stepova Novoselivka and Zahryzove. Combat clashes are ongoing.

Lyman direction: The invading army attacked eight times near the settlements of Hrekivka, Katerynivka, and Kolodiazi. Five combat clashes are still ongoing.

Kramatorsk direction: Ukrainian defenders repelled three attempts by the Russian army to advance near Vasiukivka, Chasiv Yar, and Kurdiumivka.

Toretsk direction: The enemy attacked 14 times near Ozarianivka, Toretsk, and Leonidivka. Fighting continues in three locations.

Pokrovsk direction: Since the beginning of the day, the Russian troops have made 42 attempts to push our defenders from their positions in the areas of the settlements of Kalynove, Yelyzavitivka, Lysivka, Shevchenko, Zvirove, Udachne, Uspenivka, Novooleksandrivka, Kotliarivka, Bohdanivka, and Andriivka. The defense forces are holding back the enemy's pressure and have repelled 32 attacks, with ten combat clashes still ongoing.

Novopavlivka direction: Today, the enemy attacked seven times near the settlements of Kostiantynopil, Rozliv, Dniproenerhiia, and Burlatske. Five combat clashes are still ongoing.

Huliaipole direction: The enemy made one unsuccessful attack in the direction of Vilne Pole. Additionally, the enemy carried out airstrikes on Huliaipole using unguided rockets, and also struck with guided aerial bombs on Voskresenka, Maliivka, and Sichneve.

Orikhiv direction: Our defenders repelled two enemy assaults near Stepove, and one combat clash continues.

Prydniprovskyi direction: The enemy launched an airstrike on the settlement of Kozatske.

Kharkiv, Siversk, and Prydniprovskyi directions: The enemy did not carry out active offensive actions.

Kursk region: Ukrainian defenders repelled two Russian attacks, with eight combat clashes still ongoing. Since the beginning of the day, the enemy carried out four airstrikes, dropping five guided aerial bombs on our positions and settlements, and conducted 126 artillery shellings, including three from multiple rocket launch systems.
According to the General Staff, over the past day, from April 7 to 8, Russian forces lost 1,290 soldiers in battles against Ukraine. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also destroyed a significant amount of enemy equipment.
