Over the past day, from April 7 to April 8, Russian troops lost 1,290 soldiers in battles against Ukraine. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also destroyed a lot of enemy equipment, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to April 8, 2025, are estimated to be:

  • personnel - about 926,310 (+1,290) Russian troops were eliminated;
  • tanks - 10,572 (+5);
  • troop-carrying AFVs - 22,011 (+14;
  • artillery systems - 25,860 (+43);
  • MLRS - 1,359 (+3);
  • anti-aircraft systems - 1,126 (+2);
  • aircraft - 370;
  • helicopters - 335;
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 31,917 (+43);
  • cruise missiles - 3,145;
  • warships/boats - 28;
  • submarines - 1;
  • vehicles and fuel tanks - 43,227 (+107);
  • special equipment - 3,792 (+2).

As of the evening of April 7, there were 120 combat clashes on the front. The enemy launched the most attacks in the Pokrovsk direction, carrying out 42 offensive actions.

In particular, the Russians attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses near the settlements of Kalynove, Oleksandropil, Tarasivka, Yelyzavetivka, Vdale, Uspenivka, Preobrazhenka, Andriivka, Kotlyne, as well as in the directions of Kotliarivka and Serhiivka.
