Air Force shows footage of strikes on two bridge crossings in Kursk region
Ukrainian aviation struck two bridge crossings in the Kursk region with guided aerial bombs, according to the Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, Mykola Oleshchuk.
"Pilots of the tactical aviation of the Air Force, together with their comrades from other branches and types of Defense Forces, are successfully disrupting logistical connections in the Kursk region," Oleshchuk wrote.
As the commander noted, the video shows the result of aerial combat work using guided bombs on two bridge crossings on August 20, 2024.
Ukrainian aviation destroys bridges in the Kursk region
On August 16, Russian forces reported the destruction of one of the bridges over the Seym River near the village of Glushkovo in the Kursk region. It was one of the most crucial logistical arteries for the Russians. At the same time, the Russian army claimed that Ukraine used "several American HIMARS missiles" to destroy the bridge.
Later, Commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, released a video of the bridge's destruction near Glushkovo. He mentioned that Ukrainian aviation is also participating in the operation in the Kursk region.
Two days later, it became known that Ukrainian aviation had destroyed a second bridge over the Seym River in the Kursk region. It was also reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine might have hit a third bridge in the Kursk region.
