Most people imagine monarchs’ diets as pure luxury, but Charles III has remained loyal for years to a modest and very healthy dish, according to Falstaff.

What is on the monarch’s morning plate

According to former royal chef Darren McGrady, the monarch always chooses fresh, seasonal products. His constant morning favorite is baked eggs with cheese, spinach, and tomatoes.

It is a high-protein breakfast that boosts energy and provides the body with essential micronutrients.

Benefits for the brain and blood vessels

The main secret of this dish lies in its ideal combination of nutrients. Eggs are a rich source of high-quality protein, vitamins B12 and D, and choline, which plays a key role in brain and nervous system function.

Spinach adds vitamins A, C, and K, folic acid, and iron. Researchers from Harvard confirm that antioxidants in spinach effectively protect cells from the damaging effects of free radicals.

Tomatoes are one of the best dietary sources of lycopene, a plant compound that gives them their red color.

Lycopene actively supports heart health and protects the skin from negative environmental effects. Cheese is often criticized for its fat content, but in moderate amounts, it provides essential calcium for bones and makes breakfast more filling, keeping hunger away for longer.

Skin youth and affordability

Such a diet also has a pleasant side effect — it literally rejuvenates. Vitamin C, abundant in tomatoes and spinach, plays a direct role in collagen formation. This important protein is responsible for skin elasticity and structure, helping prevent early wrinkles.

Although royal habits may seem out of reach, Charles’s breakfast consists of ingredients that can be found in any nearby supermarket for just a few hryvnias.
