The next round of trilateral peace talks could take place within days in Europe. Among possible options are Switzerland, Türkiye, Austria, or the Vatican, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an interview with Corriere della Sera.

"No one postponed the next trilateral meeting with Americans, even after the attack on Iran. It could take place on March 5 or 6. Perhaps it will not be in Abu Dhabi. I would prefer Geneva, or at least Europe, because war is taking place on our continent," Zelenskyy said.
According to him, if Russia wants a neutral venue, Austria, the Vatican, or Türkiye could also be suitable.
Ukraine also hopes for more prisoner exchanges in the near future.
The head of state added that serious negotiations will begin only when the Russian army starts to shrink.
"In fact, we seek dialogue. We want peace. At the same time, we are trying to be strong, we are producing technical resources and more drones to compensate for the shortage of soldiers. We are diversifying forms of warfare that allow us to resist," Zelenskyy added.
According to him, Russian President Vladimir Putin is now planning to mobilize 400,000 new soldiers, but his army has stopped growing. Losses equal recruitment; they are close to a crisis.
"Serious negotiations will begin when his army starts to shrink," Zelenskyy concluded.
Trilateral talks with the US and Russia
Since the beginning of 2026, Ukraine has held several rounds of negotiations with Russia. The main issue that has not yet been resolved is control over the non-occupied territories of Donbas.
According to Bloomberg, citing informed sources, the next round of talks is to take place on March 4-5 and will be decisive.
Earlier, Reuters reported that Ukraine and the US discussed the possibility of concluding a peace agreement with Russia as early as March this year.
