US President Donald Trump’s team is continuing negotiations with Iran. These talks are proceeding despite the fact that the American leader has publicly rejected the negotiation process with Tehran, according to ABC News.
Journalists spoke with a White House official who spoke on condition of anonymity.
According to him, the US and Iran are continuing technical negotiations to reach a final peace agreement.
Neither Donald Trump’s statement during the NATO summit in Ankara nor the large-scale exchange of strikes has affected this process in any way.
On July 8, the US President announced that the ceasefire with Iran had ended and that the memorandum of understanding had been revoked.
Trump said he was no longer interested in negotiating with Iran.
Despite this, Tehran and Washington continue to hold technical talks on nuclear issues.
"The United States is still committed to finding a resolution, and technical talks continue. Iran can never possess a nuclear weapon," the insider said.

On July 8, Donald Trump officially confirmed that he was canceling the ceasefire with Iran.
This decision was announced after the Iranian regime carried out attacks on merchant ships.
Later, the White House chief said that following the new strikes, Tehran had contacted Washington and offered to reach an agreement. However, Trump is still considering this proposal.
According to media reports, the United States is preparing for a resumption of mutual attacks with Iran in the Strait of Hormuz.
