8 international celebrities who visit Ukraine during war
Not only political leaders dare to come to Ukraine during full-scale war. Over the past two and a half years, numerous world celebrities - actors, directors, screenwriters, businessmen, and musicians - have visited Kyiv, Lviv, and other cities.
They come for volunteer aid, film documentaries, and share with the world what they have seen firsthand - the consequences of Russian aggression.

Sean Penn
American actor and director, has repeatedly visited Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war. He actively provides assistance to refugees and the affected, and also calls on the global community to take decisive action in support of Ukraine.

Angelina Jolie
Hollywood actress and UN Goodwill Ambassador visited Lviv in June 2022. She met with Ukrainians, visited hospitals, and called on the world not to forget about the war in Ukraine.

Cary Fukunaga
Star director Cary Fukunaga, known for directing the 25th James Bond film No Time to Die, the adaptation of Jane Eyre, and for being the director and producer of the first season of HBO's series True Detective, was in Ukraine on a humanitarian mission.
According to him, it was the least he could do. He participated in a charitable project aimed at providing food in cities affected by the humanitarian crisis.
Fukunaga visited Lviv, Kyiv, and the Kharkiv region, where, among other things, he rescued a dog from under rubble.

U2 and Bono
In 2022, the legendary rock band with lead singer Bono visited Ukraine at the invitation of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to express support for Ukrainians.
The musicians performed their iconic hits in the capital's metro and delighted the audience with a joint performance alongside theUkrainian band Antytila.
After the metro concert, Bono traveled to the occupied towns of Bucha and Irpin, where he personally witnessed the atrocities committed by Russian forces against Ukrainians.
