6 tips to prevent skin dryness and peeling this autumn
In autumn, cold weather, wind, heating, and low humidity harm our skin, making it dry and dehydrated. It may also peel and cause itching.
Star dermatologist and cosmetologist Daria Tishchenko provided six tips on how to protect the skin from peeling and dryness.
6 tips for autumn skin care from a star cosmetologist
Here are my tips on how to protect your skin from environmental effects:
Cleanse your skin twice a day (morning and evening)
Remember that your gel or foam should cleanse well without over-drying the skin, avoiding harsh ingredients that can irritate. If you're using a gel with acids, I would recommend switching to a lower percentage of acids or adding a gentler cleanser in the evening.
Never wash your face with hot water
At most, use room temperature water, or even better, cool water. Hot water irritates the skin, making it more sensitive, red, and dry.
Moisturize your skin daily
Even combination and oily skin need hydration. Of course, the products will differ from those for dry skin, and the formulation will vary as well. You can always consult a dermatologist or cosmetologist for help.

Always use SPF!
"Yes, even in autumn! Remember that the sun is dangerous at all times. Excessive exposure to sunlight can lead to premature aging and serious skin diseases," the cosmetologist explained.
Moisturize your lips
With the onset of cold weather, the skin on the lips and around the mouth often becomes dry and prone to peeling. Lip balm and creams with squalane, peptides, resveratrol, and ceramides will help.
Drink enough water
Also, make sure the indoor environment is cool and humid.
As a reminder, the star cosmetologist previously discussed how autumn blues and depression affect the skin.
Earlier, we reported on makeup mistakes that lead to skin breakouts.
