6 seasonal superfoods you need to eat right now

With the beginning of spring and active sunshine, it's time to update your diet. Several superfoods have been named that not only strengthen the immune system but also provide a boost of energy for the entire day. Read about seasonal foods that have already appeared on store shelves.
Greens (dill, parsley, green onions)
According to Ukrainian dietitian Nataliia Samoilenko, these foods are rich in iron, folic acid, and B vitamins. They improve vascular and brain function.
They also contain antioxidants that protect cells from aging.
Parsley contains a high amount of folic acid – vitamin B9, which may reduce the risk of heart disease. It lowers levels of the amino acid homocysteine, which harms cardiovascular health.
Greens should be added to salads, simply placed on the plate, or used to make healthy sauces.
Young carrots
This is a source of beta-carotene, which improves vision, skin condition, and supports liver health.
Young carrots also help cleanse the body. Additionally, they make a great snack and can be added to salads, soups, and main dishes.
This vegetable has a mild diuretic effect and promotes the removal of toxins. With regular consumption, carrots help cleanse the blood vessels.
Ramsons
The expert noted that wild garlic is a natural antibiotic and an immunity booster. It can detoxify the body. It improves digestion and aids liver detoxification.
It has a mild sedative effect and may help with irritability, insomnia, and fatigue. However, it should not be consumed in large quantities, as it can irritate the stomach.
Use wild garlic in salads, sauces, or add it to soups.
Sorrel, spinach, Swiss chard
These are excellent sources of vitamins for better immune support and iron absorption. They support the adrenal glands and help reduce fatigue.
They regulate digestion, as they contain organic acids (malic, oxalic).
A great base for salads, stews, and the beloved green borscht, added the dietitian.
Nettle
Thanks to its high iron content, nettle helps with anemia (low hemoglobin). The vitamin C it contains enhances iron absorption.
It has diuretic properties, removes toxins, and excess fluids. It also supports liver and kidney detoxification.
It helps with arthritis, rheumatism, and other inflammations. It may also reduce joint pain.
You can add it to any soups, green omelets, and borscht.
Strawberries
Contain vitamin C (more than oranges), as well as B vitamins, vitamins A, E, and K. Antioxidants help fight free radicals and slow down aging.
Flavonoids and potassium in strawberries help lower blood pressure and strengthen blood vessels.
Thanks to the high amount of vitamin C, they greatly support immunity. And fiber improves digestive function.
It’s best to eat them fresh to get the maximum benefit.
