168 drones, one ballistic missile: Russia's latest overnight assault on Ukraine

The new enemy air attack began at 6:00 p.m. on July 22.

This time, Russian forces launched the attack using:

• One Iskander-M ballistic missile from the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea;

• Five Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missiles from the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea;

• 168 Shahed strike drones (including jet-powered variants), as well as Gerbera, Italmas, and Parodiya decoy drones launched from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), Donetsk (temporarily occupied territory), and Hvardiiske (temporarily occupied Crimea).

The following were involved in destroying the enemy targets:

• Aviation;

• Anti-aircraft missile forces;

• Electronic warfare and unmanned systems units;

• Mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to the latest data, as of 7:30 a.m., air defenses had successfully neutralized two Kh-59/69 guided air-launched missiles and 154 enemy drones, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of UAVs.

It was also reported that the Russian targets were shot down in the north, south, and east of the country.

"Hits by one ballistic missile, three guided air-launched missiles, and seven strike UAVs were recorded at nine locations. Debris from intercepted targets fell at four locations," the Ukrainian Air Force confirmed.

The defenders also warned Ukrainians that the Russian attack was still ongoing and that several enemy drones remained in Ukrainian airspace.

"Follow safety rules!" the servicemen urged civilians.

Earlier, it became known that Putin plans to set Ukraine up in front of NATO and has developed a new plan of action.
