12 Russian regions hit in massive Ukrainian attack

Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked various regions of Russia with hundreds of drones over the course of the day, the Russian Ministry of Defense reports.
On the evening of September 19, Russia's Ministry of Defense published a report on repelling a Ukrainian air attack.
The ministry said the air raid lasted from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Authorities did not hide the fact that the latest Ukrainian attack was large-scale—12 regions were targeted at once, namely:
- Belgorod region
- Kursk region
- Bryansk region
- Kaluga region
- Oryol region
- Tula region
- Ryazan region
- Nizhny Novgorod region
- Vladimir region
- Moscow region
- Krasnodar Krai
- Occupied Crimea
- The Black Sea.
Russia's Defense Ministry traditionally does not disclose the exact number of drones Ukraine used in the latest strike.
Despite this, the Russian ministry acknowledged that hundreds of UAVs were involved.
The agency claimed that its air defenses had allegedly managed to shoot down and suppress 288 Ukrainian drones.
Notably, Ukraine launched the large-scale drone attack on Russia amid elections to the State Duma. The elections began on September 18 and will run through September 20.
Russia is also holding illegal voting in temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories.
As previously reported, on September 19, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine had already tested several systems designed to counter jet-powered Shaheds in real combat.
That same day, the head of state showed how the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) had successfully destroyed a Russian Geran-5 using a Ukrainian interceptor drone.
