US provides nearly $1 million worth of generators to Kherson region

American partners have delivered three powerful generators to the Kherson region, valued at around $1 million, according to the Facebook post of Kherson Regional Military Administration head Oleksandr Prokudin.
According to Prokudin, two of the generators will be used to provide heating for residents of the region, while the third will ensure uninterrupted operation of a hospital.
He noted that this will allow thousands of people to have heat and access to medical care even under the most difficult conditions of Russian energy terror.
Prokudin also thanked American partners for their support, in particular US businessman Howard Buffett and the Global Empowerment Mission.
Kherson region attacks
The Kherson region frequently comes under air raid alerts due to enemy activity. Russian forces regularly attack civilian infrastructure, transport, and other targets, especially in frontline areas of the region. These strikes cause damage and, at times, disrupt power supply and other services when energy facilities are hit.
On August 26, Russian drones attacked the Kherson–Mykolaiv highway, dropping explosives on a vehicle between the villages of Klapaya and Chornobaivka. Medics traveling in the car were injured.
Earlier, on August 19, an 11-year-old boy was injured in Chornobaivka when a strike hit the area as he was walking down the street. The child suffered a concussion, shrapnel wounds to the shoulder, and a blast and closed head injury.
At the beginning of August, Russian forces shelled a bus near Kherson, injuring law enforcement officers. Two civilians were killed, and another 16 people sustained varying degrees of injuries.
