Attacks on Zaporizhzhia

Zaporizhzhia is among the regions most frequently targeted by Russian attacks, often with severe consequences. Drone and missile strikes, and at times guided aerial bombs, damage everything from infrastructure and residential buildings to vehicles, gas stations, and businesses, with civilians bearing the brunt.

The impact goes beyond disruptions to electricity, water, or heating, extending to casualties and injuries. Emergency responders and medical personnel rushing to the scene have also come under fire.

Russian forces recently carried out a drone attack on Zaporizhzhia, triggering a large fire and a partial blackout in the city. There were also reports of a kindergarten building being damaged by the blast wave during shelling, along with nearby apartment blocks.

Children are frequently among those affected by Russian attacks. In a recent incident in the Zaporizhzhia region, a one-year-old boy was injured during a drone strike.
