A Russian drone hit a multi-story residential building in Sumy, according to Sumy acting mayor Artem Kobzar on Telegram.
According to the report, a strike on a multi-story residential building in the Zarichnyi district was recorded at 9:30 PM. The attack was carried out by a drone.
Preliminary information indicates there were no casualties.
"More than 100 windows were damaged, about 40 of them in private apartments. All relevant services are working at the scene," Artem Kobzar said.
He also published photos of the damaged building.
Witnesses also reported another explosion in Sumy at around 00:30 AM.
Attacks on Sumy
On December 11, Russian forces dropped a guided aerial bomb on a shop in the Velyka Pysarivka community of the Sumy region.
The strike occurred while people were inside. A shop assistant and a resident were killed. Another shop assistant who was in the store survived.
Earlier, on the night of December 8, Russian forces struck the Okhtyrka community in the Sumy region with three attack drones, hitting a multi-story residential building. Seven people were reported injured.
Russian forces have also recently targeted energy infrastructure in the Sumy region, leaving some residents without electricity and water.
On November 28, Russian forces attacked an energy facility in the Sumy region during the daytime. As a result of the strike, a local power company electrician was injured and hospitalised.
