On the afternoon of November 28, Russians attacked an energy facility in Sumy region. An electrical technician from the local energy company was injured during the enemy attack and hospitalized, according to the Ministry of Energy and Sumyoblenergo.
The Ministry of Energy said a Russian drone struck the facility while an energy crew was carrying out restoration work. One worker was injured in the attack.
"The energy crew was performing maintenance when the facility was attacked by an enemy drone. A substation service electrician was injured. He is currently receiving all necessary medical care," the ministry said.
Sumyoblenergo later confirmed the attack and the worker's injuries.
"During today's renewed attack by the Russian army on Sumy, an employee of JSC Sumyoblenergo was injured. The worker was taken to the hospital, where specialists are providing the necessary assistance," the company said.
According to Ukrenergo, Sumy region is among the areas experiencing the most severe power outages. Russian occupiers target the region not only with missiles and Shahed drones but also using other means of attack.
For example, on November 24, Russian drones attacked the Sumy community. The shelling caused electricity outages in parts of the city.
