US President Donald Trump stated that South Africa will not receive an invitation to the G20 summit set to take place in Miami, according to his post on Truth Social.

Trump again wrote that in South Africa, "they are killing white people" and that the country "is allowing their farms to be taken from them."

"Worst of all, the soon to be out of business New York Times and the Fake News Media won’t issue a word against this genocide," the US President wrote.

He then added that after the G20 summit, South Africa refused to hand over the chairmanship "to a Senior Representative from our US Embassy, who attended the Closing Ceremony." For this reason, Trump writes, he will not invite South Africa to the summit in the US.

"Therefore, at my direction, South Africa will NOT be receiving an invitation to the 2026 G20, which will be hosted in the Great City of Miami, Florida, next year," the US leader stated.

He also added that the United States "is going to stop all payments and subsidies" to South Africa.

Trump had earlier stated that he would not attend the G20 summit in South Africa, which took place on November 22-23. He also said that the summit should not be held in that country, and that South Africa should not be part of the G20 at all.

In addition, after returning to the White House, Trump signed an order in February 2025 to reduce US financial assistance to South Africa. His administration cited disapproval of South Africa’s land policy and the genocide case at the International Court of Justice against Israel.
