In September, Russian forces suffered significant personnel losses in the Novopavlivka sector of the Dnipropetrovsk region, showing clear signs of exhaustion, according to the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade.

The command of the brigade reported on the situation in the Novopavlivka sector, which it continues to defend.

According to confirmed intelligence data, total irrecoverable losses of Russia’s 5th Army units in September amounted to 1,848 servicemen, including 734 confirmed killed and removed from unit rosters.

The brigade noted that the 127th Motor Rifle Division, which operates directly against the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade and adjacent Ukrainian units, suffered the heaviest losses:

  • Division headquarters — 3 personnel

  • 114th Motor Rifle Regiment — 411

  • 143rd Motor Rifle Regiment — 194

  • 218th Tank Regiment — 168

  • 394th Motor Rifle Regiment — 431

  • 1171st Air Defense Regiment — 1

  • 872nd Engineer Battalion — 2

  • 77th Reconnaissance Battalion — 5

"In total, 1,215 irrecoverable losses within a single division," the statement said.

Analytical assessment

The brigade underlined that the 127th Division remains the main strike force of Russian troops in the sector. Its formations account for over 65% of the 5th Army’s total losses, with the heaviest casualties recorded in the 114th and 394th regiments.

"The losses of the 218th Tank Regiment (168 personnel) indicate a serious weakening of the armored component, limiting the enemy’s ability to conduct assaults with tank support," the report stated.

Reconnaissance, engineering, and air-defense units have also suffered losses, further undermining the coordination and preparation of offensive actions.

Overall, Russia shows signs of exhaustion. Units of the 127th Division have lost a significant portion of their personnel, forcing commanders to replenish ranks with mobilized reserves, thereby reducing combat capability and operational effectiveness.

"In total, Russia, primarily represented by the 127th Motor Rifle Division, suffered over 1,200 irrecoverable losses in just one month," the brigade reported.

Frontline updates and Russian attacks

Since the beginning of the day, 162 combat engagements have taken place. Russian forces continue to exert the greatest pressure on Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Pokrovsk, South-Slobozhanske, and Oleksandrivka directions.

Russia’s daily losses totaled 1,010 personnel, along with 2 tanks, 5 armored vehicles, a multiple rocket launcher system, an air defense system, and 401 drones destroyed.

Russia also continues to attack civilian areas. In Sumy, a Russian drone struck a residential building, causing a major fire.

Additionally, two DTEK industrial facilities were damaged by Russian strikes.
