Satellite images show Ukrainian strike on military base in Crimea

Satellite images confirm that Ukrainian forces struck a Russian border base in occupied Crimea. The attack was carried out with long-range Ukrainian Flamingo missiles, according to Militarnyi.
Low-resolution satellite images from the Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem confirmed the strike on a border base near the village of Voloshyne (Armiansk).
According to the Oko Hora channel, which published the images, one of the barracks was almost destroyed, and deformations can also be seen on the bay’s seabed.
If these were indeed Flamingo missiles, this marks the first known use of such weapons by Ukraine against Russian-controlled territory.
There has been no official confirmation yet regarding the deployment of this missile type.
As reported by RBC-Ukraine, on August 30, Ukrainian Flamingo missiles struck Russian targets in occupied Crimea. The strike hit a border outpost and a patrol boat base near Armiansk.
Russian media claimed that six hovercraft patrol boats were damaged and one person killed, but mistakenly attributed the attack to Ukrainian Neptune cruise missiles.
The strike on Armiansk formed part of a combined operation by Ukraine’s Defense Forces in Crimea. In Simferopol, two Russian helicopters were destroyed, while the Prymary unit reported eliminating Russian air defense on the peninsula.
Earlier reports indicated that Ukraine has begun serial production of Flamingo cruise missiles with a range of up to 3,000 kilometers. The new system reportedly carries a warhead twice as powerful as that of American Tomahawk missiles.
