Ukrainian soldier on Kurakhove dam damage: We'll find other routes to city
Ukrainian defenders will need to find alternative routes to Kurakhove after Russian forces damaged the Kurakhove reservoir dam. For now, alternate routes are available, stated Ukrainian serviceman Serhii Volkov in a comment to the RBC-Ukraine's YouTube channel.
"I can't confirm this information (regarding the destruction of the Kurakhove dam - ed.). But at least a month ago, we mainly used this dam road to get into the city. So, we’ll look for other routes. They are still available," Volkov said.
He added that the enemy spares nothing in achieving their goals, showing no concern for civilian populations or the environment.
As Volkov reminded, Russians continue to strike Kurakhove, Pokrovsk, and Myrnohrad, despite the presence of civilians in these areas.
"They are simply destroying everything, both living and non-living, so to speak. We understand this very well, and we can't influence their mindset. We have to act firmly," the soldier emphasized.
He added that the war must be fought remotely with drones and UAVs, while focusing on maximizing the destruction of enemy personnel.
Kurakhove dam
It was reported today, November 11, that the Kurakhove dam was damaged as a result of a Russian strike.
According to the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, this puts not only the residents of Donetsk but also Dnipropetrovsk regions at risk. The water level in the Vovcha River is rising.
