Russia will continue attacks on Ukraine to satisfy its population, expert says

The Russian authorities are trying to portray the strikes on Ukraine as revenge for Operation Spiderweb. However, as long as Russia remains dissatisfied, the attacks may continue, states military expert Ivan Stupak in a comment to the RBC-Ukraine YouTube channel.
Stupak noted that Russia now feels the need to "close the gestalt" of retribution for Ukrainian attacks on its strategic aviation and to satisfy its domestic population.
He recalled that when Ukrainian forces entered the territory of the (Russia's - ed) Kursk region last year, it sparked massive discontent. At the time, the Z-community (pro-war community - ed.) demanded revenge, and Russia responded with a massive strike. After that, the Russian public appeared to be satisfied.
However, according to the expert, even after Russia’s second strike, there is still no sense of satisfaction among Russians.
"That’s why I assume that under the label of revenge operations, the Russians may continue attacking Ukraine — including the western regions, and primarily the capital. The more smoke and fire, the more satisfied the pro-war Russian population will appear," Stupak believes.
Massive Russian attack
On the night of June 10, the Russian army launched 315 strike drones and seven missiles at Ukraine.
Colonel Yurii Ihnat, Head of Communications of the Air Forces, told RBC-Ukraine that the main target of the enemy strike was Kyiv.
