Is Crimean Bridge under threat? Expert outlines purpose of Ukrainian strike on Dzhankoy
The Ukrainian strike on the airfield in occupied Dzhankoy is a preparation for a large-scale attack on Crimea and a subsequent strike on the Crimean Bridge, stated the expert Oleksandr Musiienko in a commentary to RBC-Ukraine.
According to the expert, the goal is to destroy the enemy's air defense systems and open the northern gates of Crimea.
The expert clarified that globally, this should be interpreted as preparation for a large-scale attack on Crimea to disable particularly important and valuable objects for the enemy.
"I would even say that it is a preparation for an attack on the Crimean Bridge. This algorithm involves disabling air defense systems and radars, after which more damaging strikes are delivered to the enemy. So, I would say that this is the main goal," Musiienko said.
Strike on Dzhankoy and plans to destroy the Crimean bridge
Recently, the Ukrainian Defense Forces launched a missile strike on the occupied Dzhankoy. Ukrainian intelligence said that as a result, the enemy lost S-400 air defense missile systems, radar stations, and other important equipment.
The Guardian wrote that the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine is preparing a strike on the Crimean Bridge in the first half of this year.
Representative of the Defense Intelligence Andrii Yusov commented on this information and said that it was not new, and the bridge itself was a legitimate military target.
