Kateryna has been working at RBC-Ukraine since 2016, starting as a lifestyle journalist and later coordinating the tourism and travel section. She has over 13 years of experience in journalism.
She studied English Language and Literature at Kyiv National Linguistic University and speaks English at an Upper-Intermediate level. Over the years, she has worked for publications such as Krayina, Gazeta po-ukrainsky, and Gazeta.ua, and has written for Detector Media on topics of media literacy, fake news, and disinformation. She has also contributed as a freelance author to various media outlets, including Velykyi Kyiv and Insider.
At RBC-Ukraine, she focuses on producing reports, interviews, and analytical pieces covering topics such as sociology, mobilization, history, transportation, psychology, and the everyday lives of Ukrainians. She has experience working with explanatory formats, in-depth interviews, and thematic series of publications.
She has completed professional courses, including Internet Media on the Prometheus platform and the School of Solutions Journalism focused on environmental topics. She was the winner of a medical journalism competition organized by the Patients of Ukraine foundation with support from USAID (2016). In 2017, she developed a communication strategy for the volunteer project Medical Troops.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and volunteering. Kateryna has visited 21 countries.
