Zelenskyy to present victory plan to Biden

During his visit to the United States, Volodymyr Zelenskyy will meet with American leader Joe Biden and present the victory plan to him.

The Presidential Office noted that the Ukrainian President expects to discuss the details of this plan, as well as the United States' support for Ukraine's fight for freedom.

The day before, the President of Ukraine announced the readiness of the victory plan but did not disclose its details before the official presentation in the United States.

Zelenskyy only said that the plan would make it clear whether the allies were ready for Ukraine to win or whether the West only wanted to contain Putin. According to the Ukrainian leader, the plan includes some decisions by the end of this year.

“The whole plan is designed for quick decisions of our partners. The plan is designed for decisions that should take place from October to December and not to delay these processes. We would like it to be that way. Then we believe that the plan will work,” the President said.

According to Reuters sources, at the meeting at the White House, Zelenskyy will push Biden to issue an official invitation to NATO to Ukraine and commit to a steady supply of advanced weapons under the victory plan. It also provides a clear path to Ukraine's membership in the European Union.

Meetings with Trump and Harris

Volodymyr Zelenskyy intends to discuss Ukraine's victory plan not only with the current President but also with the candidates for the White House.

“The plan contains not only what is needed from Biden today. But the plan includes the fact that we will have a different situation after November. That is, the United States will have a new president. And we need to talk to each of the candidates about their attitude to this,” the head of state explained.

Donald Trump, the 45th President of the United States and a candidate for the upcoming presidential election from the Republican Party, has already announced the possibility of holding a meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy when he arrives in New York to participate in the UN General Assembly session.

For his part, Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the meeting with Donald Trump is likely to take place on September 26-27.

“I have seen his (Donald Trump's - ed.) messages in the media, our teams are in contact. The main thing is to have time. I will not look into the future, but I think it will be important for both of us,” the Ukrainian leader said.

The White House press service also confirmed a meeting between US Vice President and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The day before, Harris said that this would be her seventh meeting with Zelensky.
