Ukraine liberates another 101 square kilometers in Donbas
Ukraine’s Third Army Corps says the fourth phase of Operation Vivaldi retook 101 square kilometers and three settlements in the northern Donetsk region.
Ukraine’s Third Army Corps says it has completed the fourth phase of Operation Vivaldi in the northern Donetsk region. Brigadier General Andrii Biletskyi said Ukrainian troops liberated Zelena Dolyna, Lypove and Kolodiazy, restoring Ukrainian control over 101 square kilometers. The operation began with efforts to eliminate Russian infiltration before expanding into a wider offensive, with Russian losses estimated by the Ukrainian side at about 3,000 personnel. Biletskyi said the advance prevented Russian forces from flanking the Sloviansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration and protected the strategically important Kharkiv-Sloviansk highway. Across all four phases, the corps reports that 16 settlements and 277 square kilometers have been retaken, while Russian losses are estimated at around 8,000 personnel.
