Zelenskyy: We hope on US support on path to peace

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine continues to collaborate with all partners and very much hopes for US support in achieving peace, according to Zelenskyy's X.
"We are working together with America and our European partners and very much hope on US support on the path to peace. Peace is needed as soon as possible," Zelenskyy wrote on the evening of March 3.
According to the President, Ukraine has already held talks with its partners and plans other steps in the near future.
Zelenskyy also emphasized that it is important to make Ukrainian diplomacy "really substantive" to end the war as soon as possible.
"We need real peace and Ukrainians want it most because the war ruins our cities and towns. We lose our people. We need to stop the war and to guarantee security," Zelenskyy said.
Agreement to end the war
It should be noted that earlier today, Zelenskyy stated that a peace agreement to end the war in Ukraine is still far away.
"We are talking about the first steps today, and since they are not yet on paper, I would not want to discuss them in detail. A peace agreement to end the war is still very, very far away. No one has initiated all these steps," the President said.
US President Donald Trump sharply reacted to Zelenskyy’s remarks. The US leader stated that it was "the worst statement that could have been made by Zelenskyy".
"America will not put up with it for much longer! It is what I was saying, this guy doesn’t want there to be Peace as long as he has America’s backing and, Europe, in the meeting they had with Zelenskyy, stated flatly that they cannot do the job without the US – Probably not a great statement to have been made in terms of a show of strength against Russia. What are they thinking?" Trump wrote on his X.
