Zelenskyy warns Russia aims to derail Anti-Ballistic Missile Coalition and FREYJA project

Russia preparing 'dirty tricks' against FREYJA project
Zelenskyy said Ukraine's FREYJA anti-ballistic system is open to European partners.
"We have the missiles and the launcher, but some components are still missing. We have brought together partner countries that possess the elements we need. We are open to cooperation. We will need both critical parts for this system and financing," he said.
According to Zelenskyy, Russia will do everything it can to throw "some kind of dirty trick" into the development of the Anti-Ballistic Missile Coalition.
"They will try to delay the unification of the strongest companies that have the potential to build their own system," the president explained.
Anti-ballistic defense with trusted partners
Zelenskyy said countries that currently provide Patriot missiles to Ukraine are also expected to join the Anti-Ballistic Missile Coalition.
He added that developing anti-ballistic capabilities is not only about defense but also about competition.
"We all have to reckon with Europe and understand that there is a market — a very serious, multi-billion-dollar miltech market. We realize that we are creating not only protection for Europe but also a competitor for someone," he said.
The president named several companies that could become reliable partners:
- Saab in Sweden;
- German defense companies;
- Lockheed Martin and Raytheon in the United States;
- Leonardo in Italy.
"We do not need competitors. We need partners who will strengthen us and bring us closer together," Zelenskyy concluded.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that the United States and Ukraine continue to implement agreements reached during recent talks. The two sides are already preparing documents for new missile-related projects.
In addition, Zelenskyy said Ukraine's FREYJA anti-ballistic project is expected to reach a new level on the international stage. He made the remarks during a meeting with Ukraine's ambassadors.
