Ukraine and the United States continue to implement the agreements reached during their recent talks. The two sides are already preparing documentation for new missile weapons projects, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to the president, several agreements were reached during his recent visit to the United States on specific ways of employing missile systems, as well as on expanding cooperation between Ukrainian and American companies.

Preparations for the relevant documents are now underway, alongside coordination between the companies involved. The effort will be overseen by Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Pavlo Palisa in cooperation with Ukraine's Defense Ministry, the US side, and Ukrainian manufacturers.

"There will be more strength for our warriors," Zelenskyy said.

Strengthening Ukraine's air defenses

Zelenskyy also spoke about the implementation of defense agreements with international partners. Particular attention is being paid to strengthening Ukraine's air defenses, he said.

"We are working with the American side and our partners in Europe to secure the support packages Ukraine needs. It is not easy, but we expect results. Air defense missiles are needed in our launchers, not sitting in warehouses far from the real threats," the president said.

Localizing production of Western weapons

At the same time, efforts are continuing to localize the production of Western weapons that Ukraine needs.

"There will be a significant expansion in this area," Zelenskyy said, thanking European partners for supporting local production and joint defense projects.

Earlier, US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker said Washington continues talks with Ukraine on the possibility of joint production for Patriot air defense systems.

According to Whitaker, the United States is considering various formats of cooperation with Ukraine and its European partners, but a long-term production agreement is unlikely to be finalized before the start of winter.
