Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the Donetsk region, where Russian forces are reportedly preparing a spring offensive, according to the President's post on X.

"Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, Slovyansk, and our other cities. The Russians are not abandoning the war, and here, in the Donetsk region, they are preparing an offensive for the spring. It is important that our positions are strong. It is important that our brigades are adequately supplied," Zelenskyy said.

He added that Ukrainian defenders will hold their ground, and the same applies to diplomacy and the Ukrainian people.

"All of our partners—in the United States, in Europe, and elsewhere—should clearly understand that the friendship between Putin, the Iranian regime, North Korea, Lukashenko, and others serves only one purpose: to allow them to do what they did to our Donbas wherever they want," Zelenskyy emphasized.

The head of state emphasized that evil must be stopped, and this is exactly what Ukrainian soldiers are doing in Donbas.

Russia's plans for 2026

Previously, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine obtained documents outlining Russia's plans for 2025–2027.

According to the data, Moscow intends to fully occupy the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, advance in the Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro directions, and is also considering operations in the Odesa region.

Zelenskyy noted that these plans so far have nothing to do with reality, as Russian forces failed to achieve their objectives by the end of 2025.

During peace talks, Russia demands that Ukraine hand over the entire Donbas region under its control.
