After each Russian strike, Ukraine requires actions from its partners that will show President Vladimir Putin that his terror must not succeed. After all, it is war and intimidation that keep him "on the throne," according to the evening address of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"There is a defense package from the US, which includes, among other things, missiles for air defense, for HIMARS, as well as artillery. The total value of the package is 500 million dollars," said Zelenskyy.

He thanked US President Joe Biden and both parties in Congress — "everyone who supports our defense of life and people."

"Every time there are new Russian strikes on our country, we need — and this is an objective need — actions that show Putin: his terror must not succeed. He uses missiles instead of looking for ways to end the war," the president noted.

According to him, it is war and intimidation that keep the Russian "throne" under Putin.

"But partners should not be concerned about how to ensure the stability of such individuals in Moscow, but about how to guarantee stability for themselves and the world - stability and security that are only possible in peace. I am grateful to everyone who helps us bring peace closer," added Zelenskyy.

Massive shelling of Ukraine

On the morning of December 13, Russia launched another massive attack on Ukraine. The energy sector was once again under fire.

According to the Air Force, the Russian army used 94 missiles and 193 drones.

The air defense forces managed to destroy 80 cruise missiles of the Kh-101/Kh-55SM/Kalibr/Iskander-K types, 1 ballistic missile of the Iskander-M type, and 80 Shahed strike drones and unmanned aerial vehicles of unspecified types.
