Zelenskyy urges Europe to join forces and help Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated the need to help Ukraine. After all, if Russia suffers losses, it could push it to diplomacy, President Zelenskyy says during the Bucharest Nine Summit and the Nordic countries in Vilnius.
According to him, Ukraine has tactical solutions that help stop Russia's aggression. This includes the recent Operation Spiderweb against Russian air bases.
Zelenskyy believes that together with Europe, the United States and their weapons, Ukraine will be able to stop Russia's aggression.
"Ask your intelligence – what is Russia planning this summer in Belarus? If they’re bold enough to prepare attacks from there, then we need more strength – together. And right now, that means strengthening Ukraine – so we can stop this war and prevent it from spreading," Zelenskyy said.
He noted that when Russia is physically weaker, it will be easier to conduct diplomacy with it.
The President also believes that partners can help Ukraine's defense sector with weapons production. After all, Ukraine can cover 40% of its weapons needs with its own production with sufficient funding.
Belarus is helping Russia in war against Ukraine
At the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Belarus allowed Russian troops to enter Ukraine from its territory.
The Russian occupiers crossed the border into the Chornobyl zone in the Kyiv region and occupied the nuclear power plant. Ukrainian Defense Forces liberated northern Ukraine in the spring of 2022.
Russian troops are still stationed in Belarus. In an interview with RBC-Ukraine, activist Anton Motalko said that as of the beginning of 2025, there were up to 2,500 Russian military personnel in Belarus, including instructors from the Wagner PMC.
However, the head of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, did not rule out that the joint exercises between Russia and Belarus could be a preparation for hostilities.
"That is, the visibility of the exercises is the most acceptable way to relocate, redeploy troops, concentrate them in a certain direction, and create a grouping of troops,' explained Syrskyi.
