Zelenskyy: Ukraine knows Russia's plans and prepares countermeasures

Ukrainian intelligence has uncovered Russia's plans, and Ukraine is already preparing a response and countermeasures, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The head of state spoke about the results of a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, during which key shortages and needs were identified to develop weapons, accelerate the production of strike capabilities and new types of defensive weapons, including jet-powered interceptors.
The president stressed that the key issue is funding needed for Ukraine’s Defense and Security Forces for the fall and winter period.
"Our intelligence agencies provided updated information on Russia’s plans – we are preparing countermeasures and our asymmetric responses," Zelenskyy wrote.
Ukraine’s long-range strikes against Russia
He added that Ukraine is continuing to analyze the results of its "long-range sanctions" against Russia, as well as "mid-range sanctions."
"The established sanctions plan is being implemented, and we are promptly adjusting priorities so that Ukraine’s capabilities fully match what is needed to achieve all the objectives of our sanctions plan," the head of state said.
The president also received a report from National Security and Defense Council Secretary Ihor Klymenko on areas requiring additional attention.
In addition, the intelligence services reported on the progress of targeted operations against collaborators in the temporarily occupied territories, particularly in Sevastopol, who are involved in attacks on Ukraine.
As previously reported, the Ukrainian president said yesterday that greater US involvement would help bring Russia back to peace talks.
According to him, Washington taking a more active stance is a real way to push Russia’s leadership toward a full-fledged dialogue on ending the war.
