US President Donald Trump gave Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy his personal phone number during talks this week, said Zelenskyy during the Munich Security Conference.

"We had a good conversation with President Trump. He gave me his telephone number. He said, 'You can call me anytime you want,'" Zelenskyy said.

The President emphasized that he is counting on Trump and expressed hope that the American leader will help Ukraine.

"If he chooses our side, if he is not in the middle, I think, he will pressure Putin to stop the war," Zelenskyy clarified.

Rumors of a conversation between Zelenskyy and Trump

On February 12, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone conversation with US President Donald Trump. The call took place immediately after the American leader spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

During the talks, the leaders discussed the possibility of achieving peace between Ukraine and Russia, as well as their willingness to work together at the team level.

Later, Axios revealed more details about the Zelenskyy-Trump conversation. According to sources, at the end of the call, Trump gave Zelenskyy his personal phone number.

In return, the Ukrainian President promised to present the American leader with boxer Oleksandr Usyk's championship belt.
