Zelenskyy: Today marks most intensive talks with Trump’s team

A meeting between Ukrainian and US delegations will take place in Saudi Arabia next week. Intensive discussions with US President Donald Trump’s team are already underway, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
“And next week, there will be a lot of work here in Europe, with America, and in Saudi Arabia – we are preparing a meeting to accelerate peace and strengthen security foundations. Today, throughout the day, we have had the most intensive discussions with President Trump’s team ever with many calls,” Zelenskyy said.
According to him, “The topic is clear – peace as soon as possible, security as reliably as possible".
"Ukraine is determined to be as constructive as possible," the President emphasized.
Ukraine-US meeting in Saudi Arabia
Next week, delegations from Ukraine and the United States will meet in Saudi Arabia, resuming talks after a dispute between Presidents Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump at the White House.
The agenda includes the future of bilateral relations, a path to ending the war, and a potential minerals deal.
According to RBC-Ukraine sources, Ukraine’s delegation will be led by the Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak. Western media have also reported that Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov will attend the talks.
The US delegation will include Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff, and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz.
