President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will visit France on Thursday, June 6. In particular, he will meet with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, according to a statement by the Elysee Palace.

According to the Elysee Palace, Zelenskyy will arrive in France and take part in an event to mark the 80th anniversary of the Normandy Landings.

After these events, the Ukrainian President will meet with his French counterpart at the Elysee Palace.

“At a time when Russian strikes are constantly intensifying on the front line and energy infrastructure, the two presidents will discuss the situation on the ground and Ukraine's needs,” Macron's office said.

The Elysee Palace added that the meeting will be a continuation of the conference in support of Ukraine that took place in Paris on February 26. At that time, the French president for the first time allowed for the deployment of Western troops to Ukraine.

On Friday, June 7, Zelenskyy is expected to address the French National Assembly (the lower house of parliament). He will also meet with the President of the National Assembly, Yael Brown-Pivet.
