Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will meet with US President Joe Biden twice in two days. The talks are scheduled to take place this week, stated the Press Secretary of the President of Ukraine Serhiy Nykyforov.

He stated that the primary goal of Zelenskyy’s visit to the US is to present Biden, as well as US presidential candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, with Ukraine's victory plan.

“There will be a brief meeting tomorrow between the President and the US President on the sidelines of the UN. And a more extensive, comprehensive meeting will take place the day after tomorrow, on 26. We expect the most results from these events,” Nykyforov added.

He mentioned that bilateral meetings with partners are currently taking place on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, with engagements occurring at all levels.

Nykyforov also reminded that President Zelenskyy met with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. That meeting was held one-on-one, without translators, so detailed information on the discussion is unavailable.

Additionally, Zelenskyy had a brief meeting today with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, where they discussed Ukraine’s reconstruction. The Ukrainian leader also met with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, focusing on investments in Ukraine's defense industry.

Background

Previously, only one meeting between Zelenskyy and Biden was announced. According to the White House, that meeting is set for Thursday, September 26, where Zelenskyy may present his victory plan.
