Zelenskyy to convene special meeting with Ukrainian ambassadors

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will hold a meeting with ambassadors in the coming weeks. He expects results from them regarding sanctions against Russia and assistance to Ukraine, the head of state said in his evening address.
According to Zelenskyy, he discussed the special meeting with ambassadors with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha. The meeting will take place in two weeks.
"I expect concrete results from every region — first and foremost regarding sanctions against Russia, support for Ukraine's defense, and drawing our partners' attention to Ukraine's reconstruction projects," the president stated.
Rumors about new ambassador to the US
Earlier, a well-informed source told RBC-Ukraine that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had discussed replacing Ukraine's ambassador to the United States. The position is currently held by Oksana Markarova.
According to the source, there are four candidates being considered for the role, including Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
The candidates were selected personally by the president, as they have already been in contact with American officials.
Media outlets have also reported that President Zelenskyy may have discussed the potential replacement with US President Donald Trump during a phone call on Friday, July 4.
