Zelenskyy to consider forming private military companies after Russian ultimatums

Ukraine may consider establishing private military companies. This is, in part, prompted by Russia's ultimatums, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said at a briefing.
The head of state noted that one of the demands Russia listed in its memorandum is the dissolution of nationalist formations.
The President reminded that there are no private formations within the Ukrainian army.
"If they're talking about Azov, that's Ukraine's National Guard. If they talk about private armies or formations, we don't have any under our legislation. Although now, after these ultimatums, I will think about it," he added.
Zelenskyy reminded everyone that Russia has the Wagner fighters, and Moscow acknowledges this.
Russia's memorandum
Russian government officials handed over their memorandum during negotiations with Ukrainian counterparts in Istanbul. In it, Moscow outlined the conditions for ending the war and a possible ceasefire.
The text of the memorandum was published by Russian media a few hours after the second round of talks in Istanbul concluded.
Once again, Russia has issued ultimatums to Ukraine. In particular, the aggressor demands the complete withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions.
