Zelenskyy’s meeting with Trump
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy is set to meet with the President of the US, Donald Trump, to discuss the most sensitive points of Washington’s peace plan.
According to the Financial Times, these sensitive points include issues related to territory and security guarantees for Ukraine from the US.
On November 25, Andriy Yermak, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, emphasized that Zelenskyy wants his meeting with Trump to take place as soon as possible.
Yermak suggested that such a meeting could happen on November 27 — Thanksgiving Day.
However, as of now, there is no information that Ukraine and the US have set a date for the leaders’ meeting.
According to Western media, the US peace plan includes a provision for transferring the Donetsk and Luhansk regions to Russia.
Earlier, the Ukrainian head of state repeatedly emphasized that Ukraine would not give its territories to Russia. Zelenskyy made such statements after Trump suggested a possible exchange of territories between Ukraine and Russia.
