Ukraine is not losing the war to Russia but advocates for its earliest possible conclusion. This conflict claims the most valuable thing - human lives, states Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a press conference following the meeting of Ukrainian, European, and American delegations in Oslo.
Ukraine is not losing the war
Journalists asked Zelenskyy about his concessions and whether he was currently losing the war against Russia.
The president responded that discussions revolved around "delicate" issues. However, he wants to make every effort to end this war as soon as possible and focus subsequent negotiations on reconstruction.
Zelenskyy insists that Ukraine is not losing the war.
"We are losing people and losing time. It is very sad that our children are not experiencing a normal childhood or a normal life," he said.
The president also added that this is precisely why this war must be ended as soon as possible.
Ukrainian, American, and European delegations in Oslo on October 20 discussed pathways to end the war. The issue of security guarantees for Ukraine was also raised.
Furthermore, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US President's special envoy Steve Witkoff began negotiations in Oslo. Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre also participated in them.
